During the TVE project we contacted about 930 state agencies sending them the questionnaire that all the project partners agreed on. Till the 23rd of October we received 75 answers to our query.
Seven of these 75 agencies do not have formal training programs in general and therefore any programs for people with disabilities as well.
Five of the remaining 68 agencies that have training programs are not open to people with disabilities. They mostly specified that their premises were not completely accessible.
More than 80% of the agencies that answered our questionnaire do have a diversity policy and/or an action plan for their accessibility work. Some of the state agencies that have no such agreements stated that there is no need for a written policy for it would be a matter of course to consider disability issues.
The results showed that financing seemed to be a deficit. Only few state agencies do have a specific budget to finance their action plans.
